What is it?
The Australian Masters Cup (AMC) was born out of a desire from the 50+ age players around Australia to have a competition just for them (ie not infiltrated by younger players). Pickleball Australia has created the AMC league which offers the opportunity for players aged 50+ (from participating clubs) to enter a 10+ week competition with leading players then invited to compete at regional, State and National levels. How will the AMC operate in Torquay?
- The AMC will run at Wurdi Baierr Stadium on Saturdays (3 – 5pm) over 12 weeks. Dates are: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 March / 5, 12, 26 April / 3, 10, 17, 24 May
- You need to play a minimum of 6 sessions to be eligible to progress to the regional competition. It is played in a co-ed doubles format with scores entered into a national software program which determines weekly ladder standings and court groupings.
- AMC registration and payments will be done through pickleball.com (not SPOND). You will be required to register (opt in) for each game day. Registration for each game will open the Saturday prior to the actual game day and close on the Wednesday prior (to allow for game day preparations).
- Cost will be $10 per game day!
- You can register for the league now!
Criteria to participate in the AMC

2. You MUST be a current member of Torquay Pickleball Club
3. You MUST be a current member of Pickleball Victoria/Pickleball Australia Assoc- (to find out your PAA ID number click here)
If you meet these criteria, you then need to do the following:
Step 1. Create an account in DUPR (if you don’t already have one). DUPR stands for Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating and is a pickleball rating system to assess a player's skill level. Click here to be taken to our webpage to explain how to download the app and create an account.
Step 2. Sign up for a free account with pickleball.com and enter your PV/PAA ID number.
Step 3. Join the Torquay Pickleball Association by clicking the CLUBS tab at the top of the page:

Step 7. Click on BECOME A MEMBER:
You will now be a member of Torquay Pickleball Association (in pickleball.com) and will be able to join the Torquay AMC league.

You are now registered for the Torquay AMC league.

- Registered league players can opt in for each game day 7 days out. Players must opt in by the Wednesday before game day.
- To opt in for a game day:
Step 10. Go to the Leagues tab at the top of the screen and click My Leagues:
Step 11. Click Torquay AMC Icon
Step 12. Click to Register Session: 1
Step 13. Locate the appropriate game day and select Click to Opt in
Step 14. Select OK
You will then see this screen, confirming you have opted in for that particular game day.
You will then be asked for the game day payment of $10.

If anyone needs a hand with registering for AMC, we will be having two registration sessions at Wurdi Baierr stadium on:
Friday 21/02/25 2.30pm – 3.30pm
Saturday 22/02/25 2.00pm – 3.00pm
