Hope you’ve all had a good long weekend and you are ready to get back into more PICKLEBALL!
Below are some important updates from your club. New Session Format We sent out a poll late last year, and based on the feedback from members, sessions will no longer be Grade-specific. Sessions will be open to all levels, with grouping of players by rating within sessions, to provide competitive play. To facilitate this, most sessions will be SCORED, i.e. scores will be recorded and updated in DUPR for most sessions. Below is the list of benefits in doing this, as it will:
Whilst most sessions will have scoring implemented, there will still be some NON-SCORED sessions available for those who prefer to only play socially, without scores submitted to DUPR, general scores will be kept for gameplay but not entered into DUPR. Please be sure to read the Description on OpenSports as to how the two different sessions will run and please BOOK IN EARLY, as you may miss out! We appreciate your support with this change as it offers our players a wonderful choice of days, times, and competitive play. T-Shirt Design Please click here to nominate your choice of design for Torquay Pickleball Club t-shirts. The design which receives the most votes, will be what is on offer to purchase. Please submit your choice by February 10th 2026. Balls Based on feedback from members, the club will be sourcing white pickleballs (to try out) and more yellow and orange. Stay tuned. Please continue to place all pickleballs back into the basket at the end of each game. Thanks for your help with this. Rapid Fire Tournament 7th February - Please follow the directions in the event details on OpenSports for those who have booked in. All the best and have fun!
