OpenSports - On PC

STEPS - DOWNLOADING OPENSPORTS ON YOUR COMPUTER OR LAPTOP

FIRST STEP .... Click here (www.opensports.net) and download OpenSports onto your computer or laptop and create an account.

You will see the WELCOME page. Put in your email address and press "Continue with Email" button
It should now show you a SIGN UP page, that should have your email address. Now put in your FIRST and LAST name and upload an image. Once you have loaded your picture, then press the green button SIGNUP.
Now you will see a Verify Login - there will be 6 boxes waiting for you to put 6 numbers in. You need to leave this page open, and go to your email and and write down or remember the 6 numbers that have been emailed to your from OpenSports. Then go back to the OpenSports app, and put those numbers in.
Now it will take you to My Location - Click on Search by Name and put in Torquay Victoria. Once that comes up press NEXT at the bottom
Now you will see a page with a green button FIND A GROUP - click on that button
In the "Search by name" at the top of the page, type in Torquay Pickleball Club - you should now see our logo - Click on it!
You will now see a GREY Button with REQUEST TO JOIN - Click on it!
A message will come up "Access Requested. Your request to join this group has been sent. OK" Click on the OK
Next screen has MEMBER DETAILS - Fill in all fields. The last question is.. "Are you new to pickleball or played less than 10 games" Press the DOWN arrow on the right side of the box and click NO if you are an experienced pickleball player or press YES if you are new or a developing player who's only played socially or under say 10 games.
Click on SAVE at the bottom once all fields have been entered
Now you will see the WAIVER - you need to read it (get a cup of tea ready!) and if you agree to all the terms, then scroll to the very bottom to press ACCEPT WAIVER
It will now say Request Sent! You have successfully sent a request to see the events offered by Torquay Pickleball Club.

Now you just need to wait until Admin at Torquay have Accepted your Request.
(This shouldn't take long because we don't sleep and our top priority in life is getting you onto this app!)

Once you have been accepted:-

If you are new to pickleball you can book into our Come & Try (see below in purple, how to)
If you have only played socially or under say 10 games or you've never played at a club, then please book into our Skills Assessment session.

(The above sessions are a requirement of the club, before you will be permitted to book into other games.)

If you are an experienced player and a member of Torquay, you can book into any events relevant to your skills level and you will be charged the discount MEMBER RATE $8-00
If you are an experienced player from another club and a member of PV or PAA, you are welcome to book into games and please message the HOST that you are a New Player to our club. You will need to arrive 15 minutes early and complete a quick INDUCTION with the Host before being able to play.

You will be charged $16-00 per event, however if you would like the DISCOUNT price of $8-00, then you can join Torquay Pickleball Club as your
2nd Club. ($20) To do this, go to the Memberships tab (on your phone click the (i) top right and then you will see the Membership button) in Open Sport and once you
have joined, please email us your current PV or PAA ID number and you will be charged the discounted rate.

After your game, you are welcome to come back to the event (it maybe in PAST events) and click on the STARS for Review where you can just press the number of stars to show "more = great game and / or leave a message. Thank you :-) Here is the link to OS help page about leaving reviews

Once you have been accepted:-

To book into a game
Find the game you want to book, click on it and it will open with all the details. Scroll to the bottom of the details and click on the green JOIN button. This will take you to the payment page, where you fill in your payment details. OpenSports will send that game into your phones calendar and it's THAT SIMPLE!

Unable to make a game you have already paid for?
As long as you cancel within the timeline, you will be issued a credit into your OpenSports account. You can then use those funds on another game.
Please ensure you go into that game and click on CANCEL ORDER as soon as you know you can not play. OpenSports will explain the process in the message.
